Welcome Q & A New Users

Welcome to WWW.FRAZE.INFO

Over 114,741 phrases, cliches, proverbs, lyrics, quotes, idioms, adages, slogans, quips, nursery rhymes, catchphrases, expressions, persons, places, and things, and much much more are at your beck and call on this interactive Web 2.0 site.  Fraze.info contains seven times the number of phrases on any other phrase-dedicated web site.  The meaning of most entries should be common knowledge to those who speak American-English as their first language.

SEARCH: Enter a word below for up to 100  phrases in random order.  For more than 100 phrases you must register above at NEW USERS.

ADD a phrase, being forwarned that 3 out of 4 entries will be duplicates or exempted.  Duplicate phrases are repeats of Exempted and  New phrases. Exempted phrases are those added to the web site for the first time but were among the 107,000+ phrases in the pre-website data base.  All other entries are placed in Quarantine until they are accepted as New phrases.   The last ten New phrases are below.  The most frequent duplicates are: "out of the question" (41 times); "give and take" (40 times) with "take it easy" and "after all" (tied at 39 duplicates).

REGISTER by clicking NEW USERS above and answering a few simple questions.  See Q&A to learn the many advantages of a registered participant and anything else you might want to know about www.fraze.info. This site is completely safe, free and without advertisements. The Message Board is the only way for participants to communicate.   The last five registered participants are: 'maheshvj', 'dick whittington', 'Basheer', 'cinziaagazzi' and 'raphaelcwang'.    REGISTER and then search any word., for example,  "like" and find up to 1000 phrases.  For "like" the most frequent phrases are "tell it like it is", "take it like a man" and "out like a light."   I add new and duplicate phrases every day from horoscopes, crossword puzzles, TV programs or whatever comes to mind.

PARTICIPATION:  Only two registrants (other than myself) have added 20 or more phrases:  'Buzznomic' (213) and 'civgenius' (51).

FYI  If you add a phrase and it isn't listed within a day or so, then assume it is in Quarantine for one of the following reasons: misspelled, has unacceptable words or meaning, lacks a question mark, isn't on the first page of a major search engine and  is unfamiliar to this web master or awaiting review.

Knowing full well that this list of phrases is just the tip of the iceberg, I hope you can at least say, "I've heard that before."  If you can't, one of us is ancient history, out of touch, way out in left fieldmissed the boat or march to a different drummer.  So, without further adocut to the chase, get the show on the road, stop messing around, and take a gander at  what’s in store for you
